The developer

The master developer, building its own.

Nakheel was founded in 2000 and is DLD developer no. 100. It launched the project as Palm Deira in 2004, scaled it down to Deira Islands in 2013 and unveiled the Dubai Islands master plan on 22 August 2022. Since 16 March 2024 Nakheel is part of Dubai Holding.

On the islands it builds the Rixos Hotel & Residences, Bay Villas and Bay Grove Residences, and lists Bay Estate on Island E. Its first residential handovers on the islands are still to come: the Rixos components were at 55.85 % and 33.36 % in June 2026.
